US President Donald Trump on Monday asked the Supreme Court to review the $5 million civil case that found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll. A federal appeals court had affirmed the jury’s verdict and judgment against Trump last year, ruling that the trial judge made no errors warranting a new trial. This latest move follows Trump's unsuccessful effort in June to have the appeal reviewed by the full bench of judges.

US President Donald Trump has threatened the BBC with a $1 billion lawsuit over the editing of a speech he gave just before the January 6, 2021, US Capitol riots. Trump's legal team demanded that the broadcaster retract its Panorama documentary and issue an apology by November 14, 2025, warning that failure to comply would result in legal action for damages of at least $1 billion.
