Ben Savage and Tessa Angermeier's baby girl is ready to meet the world.
Indeed, the Boy Meets World alum announced on Nov. 26 that his wife had given
birth, accompanied by a sweet message in an Instagram post captioned,
"Welcome, little one."
The 45-year-old, who married his wife in 2023, shared photos of himself holding
his daughter's tiny hand and wearing a "Girl Dad" t-shirt. Another photo showed
him holding his newborn, who was swaddled in a pink blanket and sound asleep.
Naturally, Ben's former Boy Meets World co-star Matthew Lawrence, who played
Jack Hunter in the show, couldn't wait to congratulate him, commenting, "Wow
bro!! A very happy Thanksgiving"
Meanwhile, Maitland Ward, who played Rachel McGuire in the 90' sitcom, got
ahead of the couple's happy news by gushing in their May pregnancy
announcement,"Congratulations, both of you!"
At the time, many fans of the beloved show joked about Ben fulfilling the
prophecy set by his Boy Meets World character Cory Matthews, with one fan
joking, referencing Danielle Fishel's character on the show,"am telling Topanga"
However, while Ben's character was the husband to Danielle's Topanga Lawrence
Matthews onscreen, she has admitted that their relationship isn't as close as it
once was, as have fellow costars Will Friedle and Rider Strong.
"He just kind of disappeared from our lives," Danielle, who cohosted Pod Meets
World with Will and Rider, told Variety in 2023."He ghosted us"
Danielle's feelings for her former co-star, however, have not changed as a result
of their current relationship status.
"Everyone is on their own journey and having their own experiences that can be
perceived many different ways, depending on your POV," she told me.
"Speaking for myself, Ben and I may be estranged right now, and we may have some
complaints about each other, but I will always love Ben and want what’s best for
him.”
As she put it, "I don’t think this is the end of our story but time will tell.”
