Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson is facing an uncertain future at the club as interest in the Wales international continues to grow across the Premier League.

BBC Sport understands that while Spurs are not actively pushing to sell the 24 year old, they are willing to consider offers if the right proposal is made. Johnson's situation has attracted attention from several clubs, with Crystal Palace currently the most advanced in their pursuit, although others are closely monitoring developments ahead of the January transfer window.

Johnson enjoyed a standout moment last season when he scored the winning goal in Tottenham's Europa League final victory over Manchester United in Bilbao. That strike ended the club's 17 year wait for a major trophy and secured his place in Spurs history. He was also the club's top scorer in the Premier League, finding the net 11 times and underlining his importance to the team at the time.

However, circumstances have shifted significantly following managerial changes in north London. The departure of Ange Postecoglou and the arrival of Thomas Frank as head coach have altered Johnson's role within the squad. This season, he has found himself on the fringes, starting only six league matches under the new regime and struggling for consistent minutes.

Despite his reduced involvement, Johnson remains a highly regarded attacker. Since joining Tottenham from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023 for a fee worth £47.5 million, he has scored 27 goals in all competitions. His pace, directness, and eye for goal continue to make him an appealing option for clubs seeking to strengthen their attacking options.

With a World Cup approaching and Wales likely to rely heavily on him, regular playing time will be a key consideration for Johnson as he weighs his next steps. Sources suggest that a move away from Tottenham could be beneficial for both player and club, particularly if his current lack of game time continues.

While Spurs are not under immediate pressure to sell, they are understood to be open to negotiations should a suitable offer arrive. As January draws closer, Johnson's future is expected to become clearer, with interest from rival Premier League sides likely to intensify in the coming weeks.
