A descendant of the Cartier jewelry dynasty has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison after confessing to running an unlicensed cryptocurrency exchange that laundered more than $470 million in drug trafficking proceeds.

Maximilien de Hoop Cartier, a resident of France who moonlights as a singer under the name “Max Cartier,” was sentenced in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, April 28, after pleading guilty in October to operating an unlicensed money-transmitting business and conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

Cartier, 58, funneled the money through a web of US shell companies disguised as fake software and tech firms — with names like Bullpix Solutions, Softmill LLC, and VC Innovated before routing it to Colombia, prosecutors said.

The companies existed solely to receive and transmit international drug money, converting narcos’ cryptocurrency into hard currency.

To fool banks, Cartier used forged contracts and invoices, making it appear the firms were doing legitimate tech work. He deliberately broke transactions into chunks to avoid bank scrutiny.

The scheme, dubbed the “Cartier Cell” by feds, dates back to at least 2018.

Khloé Kardashian says there is no repairing her fractured relationship with ex-husband Lamar Odom after his recent comments about their marriage and her role during his recovery reignited old tensions.

Speaking on the latest episode of her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast alongside mother Kris Jenner, the reality star admitted she has not heard from the former NBA player since criticizing him earlier this month over remarks tied to his Netflix documentary, Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom.

"No. What the hell is he gonna say?" Kardashian said when Jenner asked whether Odom had attempted to contact her privately following the backlash surrounding his interviews.

Jenner suggested she expected Odom to apologize after the public criticism, but Kardashian insisted there had been no communication and claimed he appeared to be "doubling down" instead.

New details have emerged following the death of Patrick Muldoon, with official records confirming the circumstances surrounding his passing.

The actor, known for his roles in Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place, died on April 19 at the age of 57. According to his death certificate, the primary cause was a heart attack.

The document also listed additional medical factors, including a pulmonary embolism and hereditary coagulopathy—a genetic condition that affects how the body forms blood clots.

A pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot blocks an artery in the lungs, disrupting blood flow. Combined with the clotting disorder, these conditions were identified as contributing to the fatal heart event.

Muldoon's remains were cremated on April 28, as indicated in the official report, which also noted his profession as both an actor and producer.

Before his death, Muldoon had remained active in his career. Just days earlier, he shared excitement about an upcoming project, writing, "So excited to be a part of this amazing project KOCKROACH," referencing a crime thriller he was involved in as an executive producer.

The Bachelorette alum revealed that she is recovering from surgery after discovering a rare condition in her uterus that may affect her chances of becoming pregnant in the future.

"At first they thought it was a didelphys uterus," Hannah wrote on Instagram April 27, noting that doctors initially thought she had a double uterus but later confirmed it's a bicorporeal septate uterus—basically, my uterus is kind of separated into two sides, and that can lead to infertility issues.

Despite the fact that the condition affects approximately 1.5 out of every 100 women, according to the Cleveland Clinic, the 31-year-old stated, "The good news is it's something that can be treated with surgery."

Hannah knew she eventually wanted to get the procedure to potentially have children with her husband Adam Woolard one day; she noted “family planning just hasn’t been front of mind” due to her busy schedule.

"I still don't know if I'm ready," she said of becoming a mother, "but it felt like time to take a first step—and this was that for me."
