David Beckham could not contain his excitement after England scored during their FIFA World Cup semi-final against Argentina, while his wife, Victoria Beckham, also celebrated following the memorable moment.

England took the lead in the 54th minute on Wednesday, July 15, when Anthony Gordon found the back of the net with an impressive finish at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The goal sparked jubilant celebrations among England supporters, including the former England captain.

David, 51, leapt from his seat in the VIP suite, cheering enthusiastically as England moved ahead in the high-stakes contest. Victoria, 52, also rose to applaud the goal and embraced her husband in celebration, according to the Fox broadcast.

The couple attended the match with their sons, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, as they supported the England men's national team in its bid to reach the World Cup final.

Victoria's reaction attracted attention because it contrasted with her response during England's quarter-final victory over Norway on July 11. At that match, cameras captured David and other fans celebrating passionately after Jude Bellingham scored the decisive goal, while Victoria appeared calm and largely expressionless.

The clip quickly spread across social media, with many fans sharing humorous comments about her reserved demeanor. One widely shared post joked about how much the former Spice Girls star appeared to enjoy football, attracting more than 100,000 likes.

Another social media user compared the moment to the feeling of listening to a spouse enthusiastically discuss a hobby that does not share the same level of interest.

Others defended Victoria, pointing out that she has spent decades supporting David throughout his football career. Several fans noted that she has attended countless matches since the late 1990s and experienced both the highs and lows of the sport alongside her husband.

Some also recalled England's 1998 World Cup campaign, when David became a target of criticism following his red card against Argentina. Supporters argued that after years of intense football moments, Victoria has simply become less emotionally reactive during matches.

Although England briefly looked on course for a place in the final after Gordon's goal, Argentina responded with two goals to complete a 2-1 comeback victory.

The result secured Argentina's place in the World Cup final, where Lionel Messi and his teammates will face Spain on Sunday, July 19, with the championship trophy on the line.
