American football star Aaron Rodgers has made fresh claims about his failed engagement to actress Shailene Woodley, alleging that she told him she wanted to sleep with another man shortly after he proposed.

Online influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate must remain in federal custody in the United States while they fight extradition to the United Kingdom to face charges of rape and human trafficking, a federal judge in Miami ruled Wednesday.


The written ruling from Magistrate Judge Lauren Louis followed an extensive hearing where the brothers requested bail. The proceeding marked the first public appearance for the Tates after spending weeks in separate cells at the Federal Detention Center in Miami following their arrest in July.


In her decision, Louis designated the brothers as “quintessential flight risks,” finding that evidence demonstrated an “exceptional capacity to flee the jurisdiction.”“failed to meet their burden to demonstrate that they do not present a risk of flight or danger to the community, or that special circumstances warrant their release,” Louis wrote.


The former kickboxers, who hold dual American and British citizenship, were arrested in Miami on provisional warrants requested by British authorities. The UK charges involve allegations of rape and human trafficking spanning seven victims. Andrew Tate faces 42 counts, while Tristan Tate faces 17 counts.


Additional charges against Andrew Tate include making or distributing indecent images of children and possessing extreme pornography. Both brothers have denied all allegations.


Reacting to the ruling, Joe McBride, defense attorney for the Tates in the United States, expressed strong disagreement with the court's decision to deny bail.

McBride indicated that the defense team is considering whether to appeal the decision or proceed directly with contesting the extradition request.

During the bail hearing, both brothers took the stand to testify directly, appealing for their release to manage their legal defense across multiple jurisdictions.

In addition to the UK extradition request, the brothers face ongoing legal challenges in Romania. Romanian prosecutors indicted Andrew Tate on suspicion of trafficking minors, money laundering, sex with a minor, and witness tampering, while Tristan Tate was indicted for complicity.


Prosecuting authorities highlighted years of digital media posts where the brothers showcased significant financial assets and multiple passports as proof of flight risk. Conversely, defense counsel argued that claims regarding their wealth were exaggerated online personas created to promote digital businesses.


Matthew Jury, a legal representative for four British women pursuing civil claims against Andrew Tate over allegations of rape and assault, acknowledged the ruling.
