Netflix has officially begun rolling out its 2026 film slate, offering fans an early look at some of its most anticipated projects. Leading the announcement is the first look at Enola Holmes 3, which marks Millie Bobby Brown’s next major project following her breakout success on Stranger Things. Alongside this reveal, the streamer confirmed release plans for a wide range of films spanning mystery, romance, drama, animation, and franchise finales, reinforcing its commitment to big name talent and global storytelling.
Brown returns as the sharp witted younger sister of Sherlock Holmes in the third installment of the Enola Holmes series. This time, Enola’s journey takes her to Malta, where her personal ambitions and professional instincts collide on a case described as more dangerous and complex than anything she has faced before. Louis Partridge once again stars alongside Brown, while familiar faces Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter, Himesh Patel, and Sharon Duncan Brewster round out the supporting cast. The film is slated for release this summer and is expected to build on the success of the previous entries, which proved to be strong performers for Netflix.
Another major highlight of the slate is the feature film finale to Heartstopper. The beloved queer coming of age romance, which has resonated deeply with audiences worldwide, will conclude its story with a film rather than another season. Joe Locke and Kit Connor return as Nick and Charlie, who now face the emotional shift from adolescence into adulthood. With Nick preparing to leave for university and Charlie discovering a new sense of independence, the reality of maintaining a long distance relationship begins to test their bond. The film also follows their close friends as they navigate love, friendship, and the uncertainty of growing up. Netflix has positioned the Heartstopper finale as a heartfelt and bittersweet conclusion, with a release planned for later this year.
Tyler Perry also remains a key presence on the Netflix slate, with two films scheduled for release. Joe’s College Road Trip, centered on Madea’s extended family, arrives on February 13. Later in the year, Perry will release a sequel to Why Did I Get Married as well as The Gospel of
Christmas, continuing his long standing partnership with the streamer and his focus on family driven storytelling.
Fans of Peaky Blinders will finally see the long awaited continuation of the series in film form. Titled The Immortal Man, the movie will debut in select theaters on March 6 before streaming on March 20. Cillian Murphy returns as Tommy Shelby, who is drawn back from exile during World War Two to confront his most destructive reckoning yet. With both his family and country at stake, the film promises a dramatic and fitting extension of the acclaimed series.
The slate also includes a variety of additional projects across genres. Tracy Morgan and Cedric the Entertainer join Michael B Jordan and Juno Temple in the voice cast of the animated film Swapped. Alan Ritchson stars in War Machine, releasing March 6, alongside Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, and Jai Courtney. Meanwhile, Sally Field makes her Netflix debut in Remarkably Bright Creatures, arriving May 8, playing a widow whose unexpected friendship with an octopus helps her rediscover connection and purpose.
Together, these announcements underline Netflix’s strategy for 2026, blending established franchises, star driven vehicles, and emotionally resonant stories while giving audiences plenty to look forward to in the year ahead.
