After five seasons of romance, fashion, and European escapades, Netflix has confirmed that Emily in Paris will conclude with its sixth season, marking the end of the story of Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins.
The announcement came as production for the final season officially began, with filming taking place across Greece, Monaco, and later returning to Paris. Collins shared the news in a video message, reflecting on her years on the show.
"After six unforgettable years of playing Emily Cooper, I'm here to share that this upcoming sixth season will be our final," she said. She added, "Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily's adventure of a lifetime."
Collins also expressed gratitude for the experience and the team behind the series.
"Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season, which we're now filming," she said.
"I can't wait for all the magic ahead and to celebrate our final season with you in the most chic way yet. We're so incredibly grateful and we love you all, à bientôt!"
Series creator and writer Darren Star also reflected on the show's conclusion, describing the experience as deeply meaningful. "Making 'Emily in Paris' with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime," he said.
"As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us."
He added, "We can't wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have 'Emily in Paris'!"
The upcoming season follows the events of Season 5, which saw Emily navigating life between Italy and Paris, where a work setback triggered both professional and emotional upheaval. The new season is expected to expand her journey further across Europe, including Greece, where she pursues Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo.
