Prepare to say hello to more time with Emily Cooper. After five seasons of Lily Collins' character paving her way through a French marketing firm, Netflix has announced that Emily in Paris will return for a sixth season.
Lily helped announce the news in a YouTube video on January 4, appearing in a selfie video shot from a tripod on a Paris balcony. Through the camera, she leaned over a breakfast table, holding a croissant and blowing out a "6" candle on top of it.
And, indeed, the show is returning to France, with the caption featuring a French flag and the words "Home sweet home. Emily in Paris returns for Season 6!"
Emily relished her time in Rome when she was given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to lead L'Agence Grateau's Italian headquarters. After breaking up with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), the PR executive explored the new city with her love interest Marcello (played by Eugenio Franceschini).
"Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city," Netflix teased in a press release ahead of the season's premiere on December 18. "But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks."
Even in a completely new country, the City of Love remained in the forefront of one's mind.
"Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships," according to the release. "Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities."
As fans got another taste of Emily's very extravagant life, they were also introduced to new characters, such as Minnie Driver's royally beautiful Princess Jane.
