This is Mark Cuban's final "I'm out" statement. Ahead of the season 16 finale on May 16, which will be his final episode, the Shark Tank star, who first appeared on the long-running ABC reality series as a guest panelist in 2011 before joining the show full-time the following year, announced his departure from the program.

He posted on X (previously Twitter) on May 15th, saying, "I'm going to miss it." "However, it was time to go on."

The 66-year-old Mark appears to have made up his mind for a while. He had already announced his plan to leave the show in 2023, citing the influence he believed he had made throughout his long time on the panel.

During an appearance on the All The Smoke podcast at the time, he stated, "I feel like in doing Shark Tank all these years, we've trained multiple generations of entrepreneurs that, if somebody can come from Iowa or Sacramento or wherever and show up on Shark Tank and show their business and get a deal, it's going to inspire generations of kids."

The businessman later revealed that his family had a significant influence on his decision to leave the position, telling People in October, "My kids are teenagers, and I want to spend more time with them." He and his wife, Tiffany Stewart, have three children: Alexis, 22; Alyssa, 19; and Jake, 15.

He went on, "We always shoot in June and September, and I have to come here in June, right when they're finishing school." "When they were little, it was like, 'All right, let's wait for Dad.'" Now that they are teenagers, they have just returned to school in September and are not waiting for their father at all. I would like to attend that.

However, Mark stated that bidding the Shark Tank cast and crew farewell wouldn’t be easy.

“Most of them have been here for 15 years, and it's family,” he shared. “We all look forward to getting together twice a year for a long time and seeing each other for 12 hours a day.”
