Michael J. Fox reassured his fans on Wednesday night that he is very much alive after CNN accidentally published a pre-prepared obituary. The news network released an article and video titled "Remembering the life of Michael J. Fox" on Tuesday due to a technical error. CNN has since removed the content and issued an apology to the "Back to the Future" star and his family, explaining that preparing such tributes in advance is a standard industry practice.

But Fox appeared to take the news of his death with a touch of humor, writing on Threads, "How do you react when you turn on the TV and CNN is reporting your death?”

He offered a few options, which included changing the channel and calling his wife. One suggestion included, "relax, they do this once every year."

"I thought the world was ending, but apparently it's just me and I'm OK," Fox wrote.
