Rebeca Andrade of Brazil placed first with a score of 14.166, followed by Simone Biles of the USA in second place with a score of 14.133, and Ana Barbosu of Romania in third place with a score of 13.700.

Japanese Olympic gymnast Shoko Miyata will miss the 2024 Paris Olympics due to violations involving smoking and drinking alcohol. The 19-year-old, who captains Japan's women's artistic gymnastics team, was sent back to Japan on Thursday, July 18, just 10 days before the global competition, as reported by the Japanese Gymnastics Association (JGA) and multiple news outlets.

Jordan will withdraw from the individual all-around competition on August 1st, following the gold medal victory by the U.S. women's gymnastics team, which also consists of Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera, in the team final of the 2024 Paris Olympics on July 30.

The 30-year-old opted to have part of his finger amputated to ensure his participation in the Games.

French cyclist Julien Bernard was fined 200 Swiss francs (205 euros) by the International Cycling Union (UCI) for stopping to kiss his wife during the seventh stage time trial of the Tour de France. The incident occurred fifteen minutes into Friday's time trial in  Bernard's home region of Burgundy.
