Amazon Prime Video is adding another faith-based project to its lineup with a fresh animated take on the biblical world. The streamer has officially ordered The Chosen Adventures, a 14-episode animated adventure comedy produced in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios and 5&2 Studios, the team behind the global hit The Chosen.

Each episode of the new series will run 11 minutes, making it a bite-sized entry point for younger audiences. The Chosen Adventures will debut worldwide on Prime Video on October 17 across the U.S., U.K., Latin America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

According to the official logline, the show follows nine-year-old Abby and her best friend Joshua as they navigate daily life in the ancient city of Capernaum. Their adventures take a profound turn when they meet a wise craftsman and teacher—Jesus of Nazareth. Through this friendship, Abby and Joshua begin to see the world in new ways and help spread his influence among their peers. To add a whimsical touch for young viewers, Abby is also accompanied by a talking sheep, setting the stage for both humor and heart.

The series boasts an impressive voice cast. Paul Walter Hauser leads as Sheep, with Yvonne Orji voicing Pigeon. Romy Fay brings Abby to life, while Jude Zarzaur plays Joshua. Danny Nucci voices Abba, and Zehra Fazal portrays Eema. Fans of The Chosen will also recognize Jonathan Roumie reprising his role as Jesus. Additional voices include Jordin Sparks as Fish, Paras Patel as Matthew, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary, Noah James as Andrew, Joey Vahedi as Thomas, George H. Xanthis as John, Yasmine Al-Bustami as Ramah, Brandon Potter as Quintus, Banks Pierce as Hilarius Maximus, and Julian Grant as Cyrius Maximus.

Behind the scenes, the show is steered by Ryan Swanson, who serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. Dallas Jenkins, creator of The Chosen, also executive produces under the 5&2 Studios banner. Other executive producers include Chris Juen, Chad Gundersen, Keith Alcorn, Kellen Erskine, and Derral Eves, with Erin Elizabeth Gardner producing and Myesha Gosselin serving as co-producer.

The announcement of The Chosen Adventures comes as Amazon doubles down on its Wonder Project subscription offering, which highlights family-friendly and biblical content. The launch of this animated series aligns with the premiere of House of David Season 2, further cementing Prime Video’s commitment to expanding its faith-based programming slate.

For Jenkins and 5&2 Studios, the new project marks another milestone in their ongoing partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. Earlier this year, the collaboration included Amazon’s acquisition of exclusive U.S. streaming rights to The Chosen, along with a theatrical rollout of future installments. The studio also recently gave the greenlight to another biblical project, Joseph of Egypt.

With The Chosen Adventures, Prime Video is aiming to bring the story of Jesus and his teachings to younger audiences in a format that blends fun, imagination, and faith. By combining the voices of well-known performers with family-friendly storytelling, the series looks set to broaden the reach of The Chosen brand and introduce its core message to a new generation.
