Prime Video’s hit animated series The Legend of Vox Machina has officially been renewed for a fifth and final season, well ahead of its highly anticipated Season 4 debut. The announcement was made during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, where fans were also treated to a sneak peek at the upcoming fourth season — slated to premiere in 2026.

If the Comic-Con footage is anything to go by, Vox Machina is gearing up for another rowdy, high-stakes adventure. The teaser hinted at more of the show’s signature blend of chaos, comedy, and intense drama, with the ragtag crew facing new threats and old demons.

Season 3 saw the Chroma Conclave unleash devastating destruction across Exandria. With the ruthless Cinder King hot on their trail, Vox Machina had to dig deep, both emotionally and physically — to protect their people, their home of Tal’Dorei, and ultimately, their world. Season 4 looks to push the stakes even higher.

“A huge congratulations to our creative collaborators at Critical Role and Titmouse for bringing the incredible story of The Legend of Vox Machina to life for our global Prime Video customers,” said Melissa Wolfe, Head of Animation at Amazon MGM Studios. “Achieving five seasons is a significant milestone for everyone involved, and we can’t wait for fans to experience what we have planned for the epic fifth and final season.”

The show, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Critical Role, and Titmouse, has been a passion project for its creators from the start. Executive producers and Critical Role co-founders Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham reflected on the rare opportunity to tell a complete story: “It’s so rare for any television series to get to tell a complete story, beginning to end, exactly as it was envisioned. We’re so grateful to our fans, the critters, our partners at Prime Video, and the original Kickstarter backers for bringing this show to life, and turning the numbskulls of Vox Machina into animation legends.”

The Legend of Vox Machina features the voices of Critical Role founders Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham, all of whom reprise their roles from the original campaign that inspired the series.

The series also boasts executive production by Brandon Auman (Star Wars: Resistance), Chris Prynoski (Metalocalypse), Shannon Prynoski (Fairfax), and Ben Kalina (Big Mouth), alongside the Critical Role cast.

With its blend of epic storytelling, mature humor, and relentless heart, The Legend of Vox Machina has carved out a unique space in adult animation , and fans can rest assured that this saga will get the finale it deserves.
