Morgan Wallen may have confused "Saturday Night Live" fans with his quick exit stage left, but it turns out he wasn't ghosting anyone—he was just ready to get back to his comfort zone: home, sweet honky-tonk. Appearing on "Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley," the country singer put an end to the buzz, saying simply, "I was ready to go home. I had been there all week."

Wallen's March 29 appearance as the musical guest took a turn for the unexpected when he abruptly left the stage during the traditional end-of-show hugs and handshakes. After giving host Mikey Madison a polite hug, he exited like someone who spotted the last biscuit at Cracker Barrel. The camera caught it all, and social media lit up like a neon beer sign with theories ranging from beef with the cast to emergency bathroom breaks.

Fueling the mystery, Wallen posted an Instagram Story that same night showing a plane on a runway with the caption: "Get me to God's country." Fans began decoding the cryptic message faster than conspiracy theorists with red yarn and cork boards. But as it turns out, it was less drama and more...jet lag.

A source close to the show told CNN that Wallen had simply followed the same route he used during rehearsals. Longtime SNL cast member Kenan Thompson, however, admitted the moment felt a bit abrupt, noting, "It was already such a small grouping on the stage anyway... so it was just like, oh wow, that was pretty visible."

Whether it was exhaustion, homesickness, or just a very tight flight schedule, Wallen made his exit known. But with no hard feelings from the cast and Wallen clearing the air, it's safe to say this mystery belongs in the category of "much ado about nothing." Sometimes, even country stars just need their slippers, sweatpants, and a good night's sleep.
