Country music legend Dolly Parton has announced she is postponing her highly anticipated Las Vegas concert series, citing ongoing health challenges that require her full attention and recovery time.

The 79-year-old icon shared the news in a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday, September 28, directly addressing fans who had been eagerly awaiting her December 2025 performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The run would have marked her first extended Vegas engagement in more than three decades.

"I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts," Parton wrote. She explained that doctors have advised her to undergo "a few procedures" and joked, "It must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, though not my usual trip to the plastic surgeon!"

While keeping specific details private, Parton stressed that the decision was made so she could give audiences the performance they deserve.

"I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my very best for you."

The postponed shows are now rescheduled for fall 2026, giving her nearly a year to heal and prepare.

Earlier this month, Parton was forced to miss an event at her Dollywood theme park after being treated for a kidney stone and related infection, which may have contributed to her decision.

Addressing concerns about retirement, Parton reassured fans:

"Don't worry about me quittin' the business because God hasn't said anything about stopping yet. But I believe He is telling me to slow down for now so I can be ready for more big adventures."

This difficult year has also been marked by personal loss for the singer, whose husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, passed away in March.

Fans who purchased tickets for the original dates will be able to use them for the new 2026 shows.

The rescheduled Vegas run promises to be a major return for the country superstar, who remains committed to her fans and her music.
