Mubi has picked up all Italian rights to Agon, the feature directorial debut from Giulio Bertelli, ahead of its premiere in the Critics’ Week section at this year’s Venice Film Festival. The streaming platform and distributor plans to release the sports-themed drama in Italian cinemas on August 29, marking the launch of its theatrical slate in Italy.

Dakota Johnson and Ro Donnelly’s production banner, TeaTime Pictures, has signed a first-look television deal with Sony Pictures Television, solidifying a new chapter in the company’s growing influence in scripted storytelling.
