Following the delay of his DC Studios project Sgt. Rock, director Luca Guadagnino is wasting no time lining up his next film. Sources say Guadagnino is in talks to direct Artificial at Amazon MGM Studios, with Andrew Garfield, Monica Barbaro, and breakout Anora star Yura Borisov in early discussions to lead the cast.

Guy Ritchie’s new Apple TV+ film Fountain of Youth dropped on the platform on May 23, 2025, with John Krasinski and Natalie Portman as bickering siblings on a globe-trotting quest for the legendary fountain of eternal youth. The film blends myth, high-stakes adventure, and slick visuals, but despite its credentials, it’s been given a cool reception.

Neeraj Ghaywan’s latest film Homebound premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the “Un Certain Regard” sidebar this week with a rousing nine-minute standing ovation. It is a big return for Ghaywan, who made waves on the Croisette for the first time in 2015 with Masaan, a film that dealt with caste and loss with sensitivity on the banks of the Ganges.

Jacob Elordi and director Justin Kurzel formed a creative bond long before their official collaboration on Amazon’s limited series The Narrow Road to the Deep North. The film’s explosive debut outperformed Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning, which earned $77 million domestically, and marks a new high point for the beloved 2002 animated classic.
