Lindsie Chrisley is having some legal issues.
The Chrisley Knows Best alum was arrested and booked into Georgia's Cherokee County Sheriff's Office on May 23. He was released early the next morning after posting bond, the Sheriff's Office confirmed to E! News.
She was accused of attempting to avoid police, improper passing, DUI, dangerous driving, and speeding. According to People, quoting the Cherokee County Jail, the DUI charge was particularly "DUI less safe," a Georgia rule that enables an individual to be charged with a DUI even if their blood alcohol concentration is less than 0.08% or if they refuse a breathalyzer.
Lindsie, the eldest of Todd and Julie Chrisley's five daughters, told TMZ after her arrest that she intends to fight the allegations.
"I got pulled over," she told the media, "speeding past a car on a two-lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was."
The 36-year-old's legal troubles came more than a month after her then-boyfriend David Landsman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault/strangulation and battery on April 10, according to arrest records and an affidavit obtained by E! News at the time.
According to the April 13 documents, the pair allegedly had an incident on April 9, where David became "verbally aggressive" and then physical, with Lindsie stating David strangled her and throwing her to the ground. She said she at one point punched him near his eyebrow in the struggle.
The following day, David was detained, and Lindsie filed a temporary protective order against him. Lindsie and David signed to a "mutual no contact order" on May 6, according to court documents acquired by TMZ, forcing both parties to stay 500 yards apart, including their homes and jobs.
Following the reported confrontation, Lindsie, who has a 13-year-old son with ex-husband Will Campbell, revealed her relationship philosophy for the coming year, which includes a vow of celibacy.
The former reality star intends to not only stay "celibate for 365 days," but also to avoid "any conversations with any man."
As she stated on the May 18 episode of her The Southern Tea podcast, "Genuinely is, like, the healthiest thing in this moment that I could do.”
