New claims have surfaced suggesting that Jeffrey Epstein may have written a note shortly before his death in 2019, although the document has never been publicly released.

According to reports, the allegation comes from his former cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, who told The New York Post he came across the message while both men were in custody.

He said the note appeared to have been written shortly before Epstein was found unresponsive in his jail cell.

Tartaglione has been quoted describing parts of the message, including the line: "What do you want me to do, bust out crying? Time to say goodbye."

He also claimed it referenced investigators, saying they had already "found nothing" in their work related to Epstein.

The note is said to have been written on yellow legal paper and left inside a book in the cell. After Epstein was moved to another unit, Tartaglione stated he later found the paper and passed it on to his lawyers while involved in a separate criminal case.

Although the document was reportedly reviewed and even referenced by legal teams, the details of its verification have not been made public.

A judge later ordered it sealed as part of Tartaglione's court proceedings, meaning it has never been released to the public.

Officials have not confirmed whether the note is authentic, and the U.S. Justice Department has said investigators did not have access to it during their review of the case materials.

Epstein died on August 10, 2019, while in federal custody in New York, where he was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His death was ruled a suicide.

In the weeks leading up to it, he had previously been found with injuries to his neck and initially accused Tartaglione of attacking him, though he later withdrew that claim.

Tartaglione, who is serving life sentences for multiple murders, has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing involving Epstein. He has also maintained that the alleged note supports his claim that the two had no issues.

Because the document remains sealed, its contents and authenticity have never been independently verified, leaving key questions unanswered.
