Twitch has officially banned the musician and content creator known as D4vd from its platform following his arrest and arraignment on charges of first-degree murder, continuous sexual abuse of a minor, and mutilation of human remains. The 21-year-old artist, legally named David Burke, was a frequent presence on the streaming service, often engaging with fans through gaming sessions and music production livestreams.
The ban, which took effect shortly after Burke’s April 16, 2026, arrest, marks a definitive end to his digital footprint on the platform. A spokesperson for Twitch confirmed that the account was suspended for violations of the site’s “Community Guidelines and Terms of Service,” which prohibit users from using the service to promote or engage in illegal activity. While the platform typically does not comment on individual bans, the severity of the allegations involving 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez triggered an immediate and permanent removal.
The digital history between Burke and the victim has become a central focus for investigators. Court documents and archival footage reveal that Hernandez appeared on Burke’s Twitch streams as early as January 2024. In one notable clip that has since been scrubbed from the site, the two appeared together in a late-night broadcast where Burke was seen laughing and jokingly telling his viewers to “delete everything.” Prosecutors allege that during this period, Burke was engaged in a continuous sexual relationship with Hernandez, who had been reported missing by her family on multiple occasions.
The ban coincides with the public unsealing of evidence that links Burke’s digital life to the crimes. On April 23, 2026, Los Angeles County prosecutors revealed that a search of Burke’s iPhone and iCloud account uncovered a “significant amount” of child pornography. This digital cache, along with the discovery of Hernandez’s dismembered remains in the trunk of Burke’s Tesla in September 2025, formed the basis for the capital murder charges he now faces.
For the gaming and music communities on Twitch, the fallout has been swift. Other high-profile streamers who had collaborated with D4vd in the past have moved to delete old content featuring the artist, while moderators for his former community hubs have shut down discussion boards.
As Burke remains in custody without bail ahead of a May preliminary hearing, the Twitch ban serves as a symbol of his total removal from the industry that fueled his rise. For an artist whose career began with viral hits produced in his bedroom, the loss of his primary digital channels signals the complete collapse of his professional and public identity amid one of the most horrific criminal cases in recent Los Angeles history.
