Two days after she was allegedly escorted off a red-eye flight traveling from Los Angeles to New York City, the Poker Face star addressed the situation on social media. In a post on X dated April 9, Lyonne shared a message reflecting on airport staff, writing that her thoughts were with unpaid TSA workers and noting that she had been looking forward to a scheduled appearance with Drew Barrymore but said it "wasn't in the cards."
The actress had attended the Los Angeles premiere of Euphoria season three on April 7, just hours before she reportedly boarded a Delta Air Lines flight. According to reports from Page Six, she was asked to leave the aircraft after crew members believed she did not comply with instructions during the flight.
The outlet reported that flight attendants noticed Lyonne appeared to be resting while wearing sunglasses and did not fasten her seatbelt when required, which allegedly led to her removal from the plane. Lyonne did not directly address those claims in her response.
Instead, she appeared to question the reporting itself, directing attention to the media outlet covering the story and asking about its ownership in her post.
Representatives for Lyonne and Delta Air Lines were contacted for comment, but no official response had been provided at the time of reporting.
The incident comes shortly after Lyonne shared a personal update regarding her sobriety journey. In January, she revealed that she had experienced a relapse after nearly a decade of being sober. Following that disclosure, she received widespread support from fans and peers.
On March 19, she posted an encouraging update, stating that she was doing significantly better and expressing gratitude to recovery communities and supporters who had stood by her. She also emphasized that while she intended to keep certain aspects of her recovery private, she hoped to continue sharing her experience in a meaningful way when appropriate.
Earlier, in a now-deleted post, Lyonne had reminded followers that recovery is an ongoing process and encouraged anyone struggling with addiction to seek support, stressing that they are not alone.
