Lady Gaga cancelled her scheduled concert in Montreal just hours before taking the stage, citing a worsening respiratory infection that left her unable to perform.

The singer shared the news with fans on April 6 through a statement on Instagram, explaining that she had been unwell for several days. "I'm so sorry to share that I'm unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show," she said.

"I've been fighting a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing everything I can to rest and recover, but it's gotten worse."

According to Gaga, the decision was made following medical advice. "My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today," she wrote, adding that she would not be able to deliver the level of performance her fans deserve. "To be honest I don't think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve."

The cancelled show was set to be her third and final performance in Montreal as part of her ongoing Mayhem Ball Tour. She had already performed in the city on April 2 and April 3, describing those shows as meaningful experiences. "Being in Montreal and performing for you on Thursday and Friday was magical and deeply meaningful," she shared.

Gaga acknowledged the disappointment caused by the last-minute cancellation, especially for fans who had already made plans to attend. "I know how deeply disappointing this is, and I truly could not feel worse about letting you down," she said. "I'm so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me."

Expressing her emotions further, the singer added, "To everyone who was coming tonight, I'm absolutely heartbroken and so sorry."

The Mayhem Ball Tour, which began in July 2025, is nearing its final stretch, with upcoming performances scheduled in Saint Paul, Minnesota, followed by a concluding show in New York City. It remains unclear whether the cancelled Montreal date will be rescheduled.
