Tiger Woods is facing continued legal scrutiny following his arrest for driving under the influence in Jupiter Island, Florida.

After the March 27 incident, authorities released Woods' mugshot through the Martin County Sheriff's Office. In the image, the 50-year-old professional golfer appears with a neutral expression as he looks directly into the camera. The release of the photograph followed his arrest and charges connected to a rollover crash that occurred around 2 p.m. local time.

According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek, deputies responded to the scene and conducted an assessment after noticing signs that suggested impairment. Speaking at a press conference, Budensiek said that DUI investigators carried out detailed roadside tests before determining that Woods should be taken into custody. He was subsequently transported to the Martin County Jail.

The sheriff clarified that investigators did not suspect alcohol as a contributing factor in the incident. Instead, they believed Woods may have been impaired by medication or another substance, citing his sluggish and unresponsive behavior during the encounter.

Woods underwent a breathalyzer test at the scene, which returned a reading of zero. However, when officers requested a urine test to further assess impairment, he declined to comply. As a result, he was charged with driving under the influence with property damage, along with refusal to submit to a lawful test.

Budensiek explained that under Florida law, individuals have the right to refuse certain tests, but doing so carries legal consequences. He noted that while the refusal itself is a chargeable offense, it also means authorities may never determine the exact cause of impairment at the time of the crash.

Officials emphasized that without the additional testing, there will likely be no conclusive evidence identifying what substances, if any, contributed to the incident.

Representatives for Woods have been contacted for comment, but no public statement has been issued in response to the arrest or the charges. The situation remains under review as the legal process continues.
