Marissa Springer has publicly denied claims that she was involved in the alleged infidelity that led to TikTok personality Desmond Scott's divorce from his wife, Kristy Scott, following the circulation of a viral video showing Springer and Scott kissing at a Houston bar.
Springer, 24, spoke out in an Instagram video on January 18, declaring firmly, "I'm going to say this one time and one time only, I'm not the one he cheated with." She stated that everyone directly involved in the matter knew she had no involvement in the circumstances mentioned in the divorce case.
The footage of Springer and Scott gained significant attention earlier this month, sparking online speculation about her involvement in Scott's marriage ending. Us
Weekly confirmed Springer appeared in the video. She explained that she met Scott for the first time that night, had no prior knowledge of his online presence, and that their interaction unfolded naturally while they were drinking.
Springer also claimed that Scott and Kristy were already divorced at the time of the incident, stating, "They are divorced. The ink is definitely dry," though court records indicate the divorce process is ongoing.
In her statement, Springer addressed rumors about her personal life and online harassment, saying she does not engage with family-oriented TikTok content and had no prior connection to Scott's social media brand. "I don't have kids, I don't cook, I don't really watch family content. I'm not on that side of TikTok," she said.
Springer further responded to speculation regarding her gender identity, stating, "Let's clear the air right now: I am definitely not transgender. I am a girl, was born a girl, I am a girl." She also criticized comments targeting Scott's sexuality, asking, "Why are you guys calling a clearly straight man gay as an insult? I thought we didn't do that in 2026."
Kristy Scott filed for divorce in December, alleging infidelity and indicating that reconciliation was not possible. Desmond Scott later issued a public apology, writing that he had made "choices" he was "not proud of" and confirmed the couple had decided to divorce after discussing the matter privately.
Springer concluded her statement by condemning harassment linked to the controversy, warning that the situation had escalated to include threats against those involved.
