Money remains the loudest voice in the Brown family fallout. During the Jan. 18 Sister Wives One-on-One special, Meri Brown laid out why she believes ex-husband Kody Brown and his remaining wife, Robyn Brown, still owe her money tied to the sale of her Las Vegas home and the ripple effects that followed.

With the family now divided and largely monogamous, financial disagreements that once simmered quietly have moved front and center. Much of the tension, Meri explained, didn't actually begin with the sale of the Arizona land known as Coyote Pass, but years earlier when she sold the five-bedroom house she lived in while the family resided outside Las Vegas.

According to Meri, she never disputed that Kody was legally entitled to half the proceeds. Instead, she says she willingly handed over the entire amount so Kody and Robyn could secure their Arizona home. Whether that transfer was a loan or a gift remains the heart of the conflict.

"They bought the house for themselves, and then it doubled in value," Meri noted, adding that she and Janelle Brown later expected clarity once the property was sold.

Kody, however, framed the situation differently. He claimed Meri wanted more than her share of family assets and argued that unresolved contributions to Coyote Pass complicated any repayment. Robyn echoed that sentiment, saying she and Kody had squared things financially with Janelle, but not with Meri.

That stalemate spilled into negotiations over Coyote Pass, with Meri growing uncomfortable over requests to sign a confidentiality agreement. While Robyn described the clause as a way to avoid public disputes, Meri said she pushed back until the wording felt fair.

Despite the friction, the land was eventually sold and proceeds divided. Still, Meri maintains that the original Vegas money remains unsettled. Kody, for his part, insisted repayment was always the intention and told host Sukanya Krishnan that Meri would be "taken care of."

For Meri, the frustration isn't just financial. She admitted she never planned to publicly discuss funding Robyn's home but felt compelled to speak once the issue became central to the family story overall.
