Timothée Chalamet is stepping confidently into awards season with strong support from Kylie Jenner as he celebrates the success of his latest film, Marty Supreme. The actor attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala on Saturday, Jan. 3, just days after turning 30, where he was honored with the Spotlight Award for his performance.

Jenner, 28, was by his side at the star filled event, cheering him on from the audience. She made a striking appearance in a plunging orange gown that quickly drew attention online. After sharing photos of her look on Instagram, she received public affection from Chalamet, who filled the comments with orange heart emojis in a clear show of support. The couple were first romantically linked in 2023 and have continued to keep their relationship relatively low key while appearing together at select public events.

During his acceptance speech, Chalamet took time to praise Josh Safdie, the director of Marty Supreme, calling him a genius and a true artist. He described Safdie as someone whose creativity and passion deeply inspire him, adding that the director represents the kind of artist he hopes to become. Chalamet spoke about Safdie's originality, his willingness to challenge norms, and his commitment to staying true to his vision.

Chalamet stars in and produces the A24 film, portraying Marty Mauser, a determined character inspired by a real life Jewish American table tennis pioneer. The movie features a notable ensemble cast that includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, Kevin O'Leary, Tyler Okonma also known as Tyler the Creator, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher.

Festival Chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi previously praised Chalamet's performance in a December statement, calling it a milestone in his career. He noted that the actor transforms a story of competition into a deeply human exploration of ambition and longing, describing it as one of the year's standout performances and one likely to be celebrated throughout awards season.

The Palm Springs gala marked an important kickoff for the season, which continues with the Critics Choice Awards on Jan. 4 and the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 11, where Chalamet is also a contender. Other honorees at this year's festival included Miley Cyrus, Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke, Leonardo DiCaprio, Amanda Seyfried, Adam Sandler, Kate Hudson, and Michael B. Jordan. Marty Supreme is now playing in theaters.
