The creator, born David Adam Williams, was found deceased inside his residence in Celebration, Florida, on Monday, Dec. 22. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office confirmed the fatality following a welfare check.
According to law enforcement statements, deputies responded to the scene for an unattended death at 2:53 p.m. Authorities noted that the residence was secured with no answer. A concerned friend, unable to contact Williams, borrowed a ladder to peer through a third-story window. The friend observed a male lying motionless on a bed. Upon entry with Fire Rescue, Williams was pronounced dead.
While an official cause of death remains pending an autopsy by the medical examiner, police confirmed they have notified Williams' father.
The sudden news has devastated the vlogging community. "The world has lost a giant, and I have lost a friend closer to me than blood," fellow YouTuber Justin Scarred wrote in a heartbreaking Facebook tribute. "I don't have the right photo or the right words. But with all the rumors, I feel I need to say what I can." Scarred asked followers to keep Williams' parents, Jim and June, in their prayers.
Chris Yon, another friend, shared his disbelief on Instagram, revealing he visited Williams four days prior. "We rode around town in his golf cart checking out the decorations," Yon wrote, noting Williams' excitement for a Rays game. "I truly don't know what to say. I'm in complete shock."
Williams began his YouTube journey in 2009, initially exploring abandoned buildings. He launched his flagship channel, The Daily Woo, in 2012, where he famously vlogged every single day for five years. He documented travels to all 50 states, amassing over 740,000 subscribers. A devoted Disney historian, he frequently showcased Disney parks and historical sites like the Laugh-O-Gram Studios.
