Kate Middleton is showcasing her new look. After debuting blonder hair earlier this month, the Princess of Wales stepped out at London's Anna Freud Centre on November 27 to show off her new highlights.
The 43-year-old, who has three children with husband Prince William—Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7—paired her new, lighter hair with a blue houndstooth dress with belt and collar embellishments, as well as a small brown bag and silver heels.
As she entered the children's mental health charity, Kate greeted the staff and smiled as she took everything in.
Kate's royal outing comes after she explained the meaning behind her new hairstyle, which she debuted earlier this month.
"It used to be brown," she told actress Su Pollard backstage at the Royal Variety Performance in London on November 19, according to the Daily Mail. "But it's gone light in the sunshine."
However, the new look appears to have had no effect on what Kate values most. During her cancer journey, which she first shared in March, the royal family member emphasized her desire to resume her philanthropic work as soon as possible after her treatment.
“My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy,” Kate explained in her March 2024 statement, “and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.”
Kate admitted that even though she had finished her treatment and was in remission, her life had not completely returned to normal.
"You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment," Kate said during a visit to Colchester Hospital in Essex on July 2, according to People. "Treatment's done, then it's like, 'I can crack on, get back to normal,' but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult."
Kate emphasized the importance of mental health resources, such as those provided by Anna Freud, an organization she has supported for ten years.
"You're not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you're not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to," Kate explained at the time. “Someone to help talk you through that, show you, and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think, is really valuable.”
