Meghan King, former Real Housewives of Orange County star, has temporarily lost physical custody of her three children with ex-husband Jim Edmonds following a Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation triggered by a school employee. Multiple sources say the decision, made within the last couple of months, grants Edmonds sole physical custody while King has supervised visitation until a formal hearing decides the long-term arrangement.

According to insiders, the situation began when a school staff member made a CPS report concerning King, prompting authorities to open a case. The findings of that investigation led to the temporary loss of custody. A court hearing is scheduled for early December, where the judge will determine whether the supervised setup remains in place or reverts to a joint structure. Edmonds' representatives declined to comment, and King has not publicly responded.

King and Edmonds, who were married from 2014 until their 2019 split, originally shared joint custody of their daughter Aspen, 8, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, 7. Their co-parenting relationship has remained tense in the years since, with frequent disputes surfacing publicly.

The custody decision comes months after an incident at Edmonds' Missouri home, where police were called following a confrontation between King and Edmonds' current wife, Kortnie. A police report described Kortnie as the "victim" and King as the "subject," though King faced no arrest or charges. According to the report, King entered the home while calling for her daughter, leading Kortnie to request that police consider charges before later withdrawing her complaint.

Bodycam footage released earlier showed King telling officers that Edmonds was "emotionally abusive," claiming he used his money and name to intimidate her. Edmonds has repeatedly denied her accusations. His representative stated that King's claims are "tales," insisting that Edmonds remains an "active and present father" committed to co-parenting respectfully.

Kortnie later sought a restraining order against King, though the case was resolved through an agreement requiring the women to stay away from each other and avoid public commentary about one another.

For now, the custody change remains temporary until the December hearing determines the future arrangement for the children.
