Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have officially settled their divorce, marking the end of their 18-year marriage and two-year separation. According to court filings from the Superior Court of California, the pair signed off on their agreement in late October, with the case now listed as "uncontested." Both parties confirmed they would submit a written agreement covering the division of property and financial support.
In her initial filing from March 2024, Spelling, 52, cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split and listed June 17, 2023, as their official date of separation. She requested spousal support and sole physical custody of their five children — Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 8 — while asking for joint legal custody. The court has since ordered spousal and child support.
The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star first opened up about the split on her misSPELLING podcast, saying, "I've never felt more alone. I don't feel worth loving. That's the truth." She admitted that she had wanted to file for divorce for "like... 15 years" but stayed to "protect" McDermott and their children. Reflecting on their marriage, she said, "We always say, 'Hey, it made it 18 years. It shouldn't have made it 18 years.' And I think he would say the same thing."
Despite their long history, both have since moved on. McDermott, 58, has been in a relationship with Lily Calo, making their romance Instagram official in May 2024. He revealed that his ex-wife and Calo "get along fabulously" and that they've attended family gatherings together. Spelling, meanwhile, found love again with Ryan Cramer, the CEO of Neuron Syndicate, and made their red carpet debut in April.
McDermott has spoken candidly about his struggles during their marriage, admitting, "All Tori's ever done to this day is want me to be happy and healthy and I inflicted a lot of damage and pain on that woman." He revealed to DailyMail.com that alcohol and drug abuse led him into a dark period, saying, "It ended up with me drinking a fifth of tequila every night, seven days a week... with a beautiful family in the other room."
After spending time in rehab during the summer of 2023, McDermott has embraced a sober lifestyle. Spelling, meanwhile, has been focused on creating stability for her children, recently moving into a $15,000-per-month rental home in Woodland Hills.
Although their marriage faced years of turmoil, both Spelling and McDermott appear committed to co-parenting amicably. As Spelling said after filing for divorce, "It's an evolving time... shifts happen in life for a reason and you just keep going. You move forward and you do your one thing."
