Aaron Phypers, the estranged husband of actress Denise Richards, has filed a motion in court requesting access to $150,000 from their joint bank accounts, claiming he needs the money to “survive” as he struggles with mounting financial hardship.
In his filing, Phypers stated that he has been locked out of the couple’s shared accounts since their separation and that he currently has no other means to pay for basic living expenses. He explained that he requires $120,000 to cover back rent on his Calabasas home, $10,000 for legal fees and the remaining amount for daily necessities. Phypers emphasized that he is at risk of eviction and that his utilities have already been disconnected due to nonpayment.
According to Phypers, the joint accounts once contained millions of dollars, which he claims were funded in part by Denise Richards’ OnlyFans earnings. He further alleged that he contributed to creating some of the content on the platform and therefore believes he holds shared rights to the materials. Phypers accused Richards of taking complete control of the accounts after the divorce filing, effectively cutting him off from all financial resources.
In his plea to the court, Phypers argued that he faces severe financial distress without access to the money, warning that he could become homeless if relief was not granted. He maintained that the request was not an attempt to seize marital assets but a temporary measure to sustain himself until the divorce proceedings are finalized.
Denise Richards opposed the motion, disputing Phypers’ claims and arguing that he had not provided sufficient proof of immediate harm or loss. The judge ultimately sided with Richards, denying Phypers’ emergency request for the $150,000. The court ruled that there was not enough evidence to justify the urgent withdrawal and advised Phypers to pursue alternative legal avenues for spousal support or attorney fees.
The financial dispute comes amid an increasingly contentious divorce battle between the two. Richards has accused Phypers of domestic abuse in court filings, allegations he has firmly denied. Phypers, in turn, has accused Richards of reckless spending and mismanagement of joint assets.
