An arduous medical update is being shared by D'Andra Simmons. The former Real Housewives of Dallas star announced that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will receive treatment at a Dallas hospital that her family unintentionally founded.

"This is the day!" Simmons posted on Instagram on July 29. "I had breast cancer, but I never imagined that I would be receiving treatment at the UTSW Simmons Cancer Center, which my uncle Harold Simmons and his foundation founded nearly 30 years ago."

She added with optimism, "After today, I will add breast cancer survivor to a long list of life experiences," expressing her gratitude to the hospital's medical staff. In the future, I hope to inspire others by sharing my story.

The 56-year-old ended by saying, "I want to thank everyone who has sent prayers and support to my family and me." "We love having your support and are really grateful for it."

Regarding the next steps, Simmons announced on her Instagram Story that she would be having three surgeries later that day on July 29. The first would be a seed localization to identify the breast tumor that would be removed, followed by a similar procedure for the affected lymph nodes and, lastly, the actual removal of those parts.

Jeremy Lock, the husband of the founder of Hard Night Good Morning, reported that his wife, who received a breast cancer diagnosis "a couple months ago," was doing well after her surgeries.

On his Instagram Story, he stated, "She's doing good." "She needs a lot of sleep right now."

"From my heart, all the well wishes and prayers mean the world to both of us," Lock continued. Cancer is awful, and may God bless you.

Additionally, her Bravo family has stated that they will support her. "I love you, D'andra, and I'm here for you if you need anything at all," Simmons' RHOD co-star Stephanie Hollman wrote as a comment on her post. I'm praying for you.
