OnlyFans model and influencer Gabriella Zuniga, widely recognized online by the name “Karli,” has officially announced her retirement from the platform. This follows a confidential settlement in her highly publicized lawsuit against former NFL star and media personality Shannon Sharpe. The suit, originally filed for $50 million in damages, alleged sexual assault, emotional abuse, and the unauthorized recording of intimate acts during their relationship.
The legal battle began in April 2025 when Zuniga filed the suit under a pseudonym in Clark County, Nevada. She claimed that Sharpe assaulted her on two separate occasions, once in October 2024 and again in January 2025. The complaint also included claims that she was emotionally manipulated and secretly filmed during private moments. A voice recording released to the public appeared to feature Sharpe making threatening remarks.
Sharpe vehemently denied all allegations and described the lawsuit as an attempt to extort money. His legal team responded with text messages and communications suggesting that their interactions were consensual. His attorney revealed that Sharpe had offered a settlement prior to the lawsuit, though it was initially rejected.
On July 18, 2025, both parties reached a settlement and the case was dismissed with prejudice, which means it cannot be brought back to court. While the terms of the settlement remain confidential, sources close to the matter suggest that the agreement involved a significant financial payout, likely in the multi-million-dollar range.
Just hours after the settlement was finalized, Zuniga took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message announcing her retirement from OnlyFans. She thanked her subscribers for their support and said the platform had given her opportunities she never imagined. She added that she was excited to pursue new endeavors, though she did not specify what those might be.
“Today, I have decided to retire from OF. Thank you for the incredible support you’ve shown me over the past few years. This community has given me a life I could have never imagined. I’ll still be active on social media and have several new projects in the works that I can’t wait to share! I’m truly excited for this next chapter. I love you all forever and ever,” Zuniga wrote.
Public reaction to her announcement has been mixed. Some praised her decision to move on, viewing the settlement as a turning point in her life while others speculated about the motivations behind the lawsuit. Meanwhile, Sharpe, who had temporarily stepped away from his television duties during the controversy, has not yet confirmed a return to broadcasting.
