The singer Hailey Bieber is being open about her health. Less than a year after giving birth to Jack Blues Bieber, the baby of her and husband Justin Bieber, the inventor of Rhode Skin provided an update on her reproductive system.
"Currently have two ovarian cysts," she posted on April 21 on Instagram Stories. "If you deal with ovarian cysts, I'm right there with you!"
As to the Mayo Clinic, ovarian cysts are sacs filled with fluid that develop inside or on the surface of the ovary. Although they are common and usually resolve on their own, some ovarian cysts have the potential to rupture and produce serious symptoms, such as bloating and excruciating stomach pain.
Hailey did not provide further details about her condition, even though she posted a photo of herself raising her.
Having a health scare is nothing new for the 28-year-old. She had a mini-stroke in March 2022, which resulted in the detection of a heart issue. She called the experience "one of the scariest moments" of her life.
"I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke-like symptoms and was taken to the hospital," she posted on her Instagram Stories at the time. "They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own, and I recovered completely within a few hours."
Later, the model was found to have patent foramen ovale (PFO), a condition in which a little hole between the upper chambers of the heart that is typically present during fetal development does not shut after delivery. Hailey had a treatment to close what she characterized as a "fairly large" opening in order to mend her heart.
In a YouTube video from April 2022, she said, "I took this test, and they actually discovered that I had a grade five PFO, which is the highest grade that you can have." "But at this point too, I was just grateful that they found it and that they knew that it was there."
Medical experts believe the blood clot entered Hailey's heart and resulted in a transient ischemic stroke (TIA).
"I simply feel really relieved that we were able to figure everything out, that we were able to get it closed," she continued, "that I will be able to just move on from this really scary situation and just live my life."
