Manchester United have signed Dutch centre back Matthijs de Ligt (25) and Morocco full back Noussair Mazraoui (26) from German side Bayern Munich on a contract until June 2029 and June 2028, respectively, the Premier League club announced on Tuesday.

Real Madrid and Brazil forward Vinicius Jr (24) is open to an offer of more than one billion euros from Saudi Arabia, sources close to the player told Reuters on Monday. Vinicius was approached by Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) officials to inquire about his interest in moving to the Saudi Pro League (SPL) on a five-year contract worth around 200 million euros per season fixed, plus bonuses.

The United States claimed a record-extending fifth Olympic gold medal in women's football after Mallory Swanson (26) earned them a 1-0 win over Brazil in the final at Parc des Princes on Saturday. Following a goalless first half, Swanson broke the deadlock 12 minutes after the break to earn the U.S. their first Olympic title since London 2012 after a perfect run in the tournament. U.S. coach Emma Hayes enjoyed almost instant success as she secured the title only two months after taking the job.
