Wayne Rooney has responded to criticism from NFL star Tom Brady, saying it was "very unfair" of Brady to question his work ethic during his brief stint as head coach at Birmingham City. Rooney was sacked by Birmingham, where Brady is a part-owner, after only 83 days in the job in January 2024. Rooney said he was "really disappointed with the comment."

Manchester United has announced a new three-year partnership with The Coca-Cola Company, naming the beverage giant as the club's Official Carbonated Soft Drinks Partner in the United Kingdom and Europe. The agreement will see Coca-Cola assume a prominent role on matchdays and at various fan-focused events, offering a wide range of refreshments both at Old Trafford and beyond.

Diogo Jota's family is expected to attend Anfield on Friday for Liverpool's opening Premier League match against Bournemouth.

The reigning champions are preparing to honour their former forward, who tragically died at the age of 28 in a car accident in northern Spain last month. His younger brother, Andre Silva, aged 25, also lost his life in the crash.

Jack Grealish has completed a season-long loan move to Everton from Manchester City, declaring that there was only one club he wanted to join. The 29-year-old becomes Everton's sixth summer signing after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Charly Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, Mark Travers and Adam Aznou. Grealish revealed that conversations with Toffees boss David Moyes played a key role in his decision, along with the warm reception from Everton fans online. Expressing his excitement, the England winger said he was "over the moon" to sign for what he described as a great club with passionate supporters, promising to repay their faith. He is expected to make his debut in Everton's Premier League opener away at Leeds on Monday.
