George Russell led from start to finish to claim victory at the 2025 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, while McLaren sealed their 10th Constructors' Championship despite early drama between teammates Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.

The Mercedes driver dominated under the lights at Marina Bay, crossing the line over five seconds ahead of Max Verstappen. Norris completed the podium after fending off pressure from behind, while Piastri settled for fourth. Rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli finished fifth, ahead of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.

The race confirmed McLaren's back-to-back Constructors' titles, equalling Red Bull's record for clinching the championship with six rounds to spare. McLaren entered Singapore with a 333-point advantage over Mercedes and only needed 13 points to seal the title. Norris and Piastri's combined 27 points secured the milestone.

However, the celebrations were overshadowed by a first-lap collision between the McLaren drivers. Norris made a strong start from fifth on the grid, but in attempting to overtake Piastri through Turn 3, the pair made contact. The Australian was furious over the radio, saying, "So are we cool with Lando just barging me out of the way or...? What's the go there?" Later, after McLaren ruled out any internal action, Piastri added, "That's not fair. I'm sorry, that's not fair. If he has to avoid another car by crashing into his team-mate, that's a pretty **** job of avoiding."

Norris continued without major damage and later congratulated his team, saying, "We all won, another world championship for McLaren. Congratulations everyone, you all work so hard and I'm so proud to be a part of it all. Beautiful, simply beautiful!"

Team principal Andrea Stella had earlier on praised the consistency. "This year, we realised relatively soon that the car was very competitive and that we were in condition to win races, so it was more about keeping concentration and focus, and maximising the potential available," he said.

The title marks McLaren's 10th Constructors' Championship, moving them into second place on the all-time list behind Ferrari. Despite internal tension and fierce on-track battles, the team's achievement cements its return to the forefront of Formula 1.
