On a long, thrilling motorsport weekend, Ferrari fans – myself included – are celebrating a massive high as Robert Kubica led AF Corse to a stunning overall win at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans. In a race that started with intense strategy battles and ended with a dramatic final push, the #83 Ferrari 499P crossed the line first, giving the Prancing Horse its third consecutive Le Mans victory in the Hypercar era.

Kubica, alongside Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson, took the chequered flag just 14.084 seconds ahead of the #6 Porsche 963. The former F1 star from Poland, who suffered career-altering injuries in 2011, drove a heroic final stint, keeping the privately entered Ferrari ahead despite immense pressure and growing tension in the final hour.

Behind them, the works #51 Ferrari – driven by Antonio Giovinazzi, James Calado, and Alessandro Pier Guidi – came home third, followed by the sister #50 car in fourth. Both factory Ferraris had led the race earlier but suffered setbacks late in the race, managing to hold on for crucial points and a clean 1-2-4 finish for Maranello.

The result has sparked joy among Ferrari fans still smarting from recent F1 frustrations. For Kubica, now 40, it marks a deeply emotional career milestone. “It’s been a long 24 hours but an enjoyable one,” he said on team radio. Later, he added, “We made everything possible. A better scenario, we could not have.”

The #12 Jota Cadillac, which had started on the front row, finished fifth, while the #38 entry featuring Jenson Button ended up eighth. Toyota, BMW, and Peugeot all played supporting roles in a race light on chaos but heavy on pace and technical precision.

In LMP2, Inter Europol’s #43 ORECA clinched the win, while the LMGT3 class went to the #92 Manthey 911 GT3 R, despite a drive-through penalty earlier in the race. Corvette’s Charlie Eastwood finished third in class after a strong overnight charge.

Aston Martin’s Valkyrie hypercars, though finishing well down the order, captivated fans with their screaming V12s – proving that Le Mans still delivers magic beyond the results sheet.

Next stop for the World Endurance Championship: the 6 Hours of São Paulo, but for now, it’s Ferrari’s weekend, and what a sweet one it is.
