Immigration enforcement is set to play a visible role at next year's Super Bowl, according to Corey Lewandowski, senior adviser at the Department of Homeland Security and former campaign manager for Donald Trump.

During an appearance on The Benny Show podcast, Corey Lewandowski stated that immigration authorities are expected to be deployed at Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California, where Puerto Rican musician Bad Bunny is set to headline the halftime performance. "There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else," he said. "We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility and deport you."

He added, "If there are illegal aliens, I don't care if it's a concert for Johnny Smith or Bad Bunny or anybody else, we're going to do enforcement everywhere because we are going to make Americans safe. That is a directive from the president."

Lewandowski also condemned the NFL's decision to feature Bad Bunny as the halftime headliner, arguing that the artist was not the right representative for the event. He suggested that the league should have chosen performers who could unite audiences rather than create division, noting that there are many other musicians who, in his view, would have been a better fit for the show.

Bad Bunny was officially revealed on September 28 as the headline act for the Super Bowl halftime show set for February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. At 31, the global music star—currently one of the most streamed artists worldwide—expressed that the performance holds significant meaning for him. He emphasized that the moment is not only about his career but also about representing Puerto Rico, Latino communities, and the cultural heritage he carries. On his social media platforms, he highlighted that taking the stage will serve as a celebration of his people, their culture, and their shared history.
