The statement emphasized that everyone within the organization has a role in continuing Charlie's vision of strengthening faith and promoting a prosperous America for future generations. The board promised that any attempt to undo Charlie's work would only serve to make it more enduring and influential.
Charlie Kirk gained national recognition after co-founding Turning Point USA at the age of 18, aiming to promote conservative ideas on high school and college campuses. He later became widely known as the host of The Charlie Kirk Show, where his outspoken support of Donald Trump helped secure his influence within the Republican Party, especially among younger voters. He frequently went viral for debates with liberal students during campus events, one of which he was hosting at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10 when he was shot and killed.
Charlie married Erika Frantzve, a podcaster and former Miss Arizona USA, in 2021. Together they had two children, a daughter born in 2022 and a son in 2024. Two days after her husband's death, Erika addressed his audience on The Charlie Kirk Show, saying Charlie wanted to be remembered for his courage, his faith, and above all, his love for his family. She described him as a man who laid down his life for her, their children, and their country.
Erika also confirmed that plans were underway for Charlie's American Comeback Tour to continue later in the year, despite the tragedy. She expressed her grief while affirming her faith, declaring that those responsible for his assassination could never comprehend the consequences of their actions.
