Outside of the pods, Megan Walerius has discovered a different kind of love.
The Netflix star, also known as "Sparkle Megan," revealed during the Love Is Blind season nine reunion on October 29 that she had a baby boy named Brooks with her new partner Paul after splitting from pod fiancé Jordan Keltner.
Megan said to co-hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey, "I am a mom now," during the Netflix special. "I had a baby boy two and a half months ago."
"He is my whole world, and I now know more than ever I was meant to be on this earth to be a mom," she said. "He’s amazing, and our family’s very happy."
Megan continued by saying that three months after filming Love Is Blind, she met Paul through mutual friends and soon became pregnant.
"We got pregnant three months into dating," she stated. "We definitely had our ups and downs—I’m not going to say it was perfect—but Paul’s been amazing, and we’re very happy."
Her experience as a mother has already taught her to "be a lot more selfless."
Jordan also offered his thoughts on his ex's life update, stating that he had been informed of her pregnancy and had contacted Megan prior to the reunion to get confirmation.
"She was just very transparent, which I appreciate. If I would have found out right here, right now, I think that would have been jarring," he said, before telling Megan and Paul, who was in the audience, "You're going to be great parents."
A week prior to Megan's announcement, the wellness entrepreneur sparked rumors that she had given birth when she was seen leaving a car and entering her Denver, Colorado, home with an unidentified man clutching a newborn wrapped in a light blue blanket.
Some viewers reacted negatively to the rumors, criticizing Megan for ending her relationship with Jordan during the Oct. 22 finale because she found it difficult to assist in raising his 5-year-old son, Luca, from a previous relationship.
"Maybe I'm just not cut out to be a stepmom," Megan admitted in a confessional. "Honestly, this has me questioning if I'm even cut out to be a mom."
In a reflective statement, Megan Walerius expressed her realization of the challenges of being with Jordan Keltner, a single father, acknowledging that it would require significant concessions in her current lifestyle. Despite her lasting affection for Jordan, she concluded that he is not her partner, emphasizing her initial desire to find love. Following their breakup, Jordan admitted to having regrets about introducing Megan to his son but praised their interaction as "natural" and believed he had chosen the right person at that moment.
