Joe Jonas is setting the record straight after a viral concert clip sparked a wave of speculation about his alleged drug use.

The 36-year-old Cake by the Ocean singer sat down with Esquire for a new interview where he addressed the long-circulating rumors that he was caught using cocaine onstage.

"I've never touched cocaine in my life," Joe told the magazine. "But if I did, I think I'd be a little slicker about it than doing it onstage."

The rumors date back to a fan-shot video from a Jonas Brothers' JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown tour stop, which showed Joe fidgeting with his nose and stepping aside to check his reflection in a mirror. At one point, he used a black cloth and his finger to deal with what turned out to be a simple nose issue.

Still, that didn't stop social media from blowing up with theories — with some users accusing him of snorting cocaine during the show. Joe quickly jumped into the comments to laugh it off, writing, "lol you never had a booger?"

Elsewhere in his Esquire chat, the Love Bug singer opened up about touring life and how his packed schedule has left little room for dating. "Five shows in a row doesn't make it easy to meet someone for coffee," he said, adding that he's "extremely online" but not active on any dating apps.

Joe, who shares daughters Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, with ex-wife Sophie Turner, has reportedly settled into a healthy co-parenting rhythm with the Game of Thrones star following their 2024 divorce.

According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE earlier this year, "There's a mutual respect now, and the girls are their priority."
