Jennifer Lopez is reflecting on one decision that still lingers in her mind — turning down a movie that went on to earn another actress an Oscar nomination.

During her candid appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the multi-hyphenate star admitted she regrets saying no to the 2002 thriller Unfaithful, directed by Adrian Lyne. "Yes. Adrian Lyne offered me Unfaithful," Lopez revealed. When asked why she turned it down, she explained, "The script wasn't good, and then [Lyne] made it great. And Diane Lane got nominated for the Oscar."

The singer and actor added that the decision has stayed with her over the years. "It's funny. It haunts me. It haunts me a little bit. It's like the one that I turned down that it was just like, 'Why did you turn down working with Adrian Lyne? What were you thinking?' I didn't even know what the hell was going on in my mind at the time," she said.

The 2002 film Unfaithful, featuring Richard Gere and Diane Lane, was both a box office hit and a critical favorite, with Lane receiving an Academy Award nomination for her performance as a wife entangled in an affair. Lopez later told Vanity Fair that the project "haunts" her because "Adrian Lyne was going to kill it, but I didn't know."

In the same interview, Lopez opened up about her love life, reflecting on past relationships and her recent divorce from Ben Affleck. When Stern asked if she's ever truly been loved, Lopez paused before replying, "No." She added, "What I learned, it's not that I'm not lovable — it's that they're not capable. They gave me what they had. They gave me all of it, every time. All the rings, all the things I could ever want. The houses, the rings, the marriage. All of it."

Despite her personal challenges, Lopez is moving forward with new creative energy. She stars in Kiss of the Spider Woman, directed by Bill Condon, calling the project "challenging" but rewarding. "We put our heart and soul into it," she shared.
