The Chicago Sky forward has confirmed she'll make her runway debut at the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, becoming the first professional athlete in history to walk the brand's iconic stage. The announcement marks a groundbreaking moment for both Reese and Victoria's Secret, blending the worlds of sports and high fashion in a way never seen before.
Reese revealed the news on Instagram with a series of photos wearing black lace lingerie and feathered angel wings. "Stepping into a dream," she captioned. "From Angel to a Victoria's Secret ANGEL. I'm finally getting my wings. Wings on, heels ready...Catch me on the runway."
The 23-year-old basketball star, known for her confidence and charisma on the court, now takes that same energy to the runway. "I couldn't stop smiling," Reese told People. "Last year, I was in the audience, inspired by all the powerful women walking the runway. Now, I get to return as one of them. It's a full-circle moment I'll never forget."
Victoria's Secret described the collaboration as a symbol of its evolving identity, celebrating confidence, diversity, and empowerment. "Angel's athleticism and influence in both sports and culture perfectly embody the bold new era of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show," the brand said in a statement.
Preparing for the show, Reese admitted her pre-runway routine feels surprisingly familiar. "It's not that different from training for a game," she explained. "It's all about confidence and control. I'm just swapping my Angel Reese 1s for heels."
Set to air live from New York City on October 15 via Prime Video, the show will feature performances by Missy Elliott, Madison Beer, Karol G, and K-pop group TWICE. Supermodels Adriana Lima, Anok Yai, and Lily Aldridge are also confirmed to walk alongside Reese.
"I hope I can inspire women everywhere to chase dreams beyond their field," she said. "This moment is bigger than fashion, it's about proving we belong anywhere we choose to stand."
