Offset is taking accountability for his role in the collapse of his marriage to Cardi B, opening up about regret, infidelity, and the price of fame.

During a candid conversation on Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, the Migos rapper reflected on the seven-year union that began in secrecy and ended in public scrutiny. Cardi filed for divorce in July 2024, marking the end of one of hip-hop's most-watched relationships.

"I should've respected her way more," Offset confessed. "I made bad decisions, like stepping out. When she left, I had to take that on the chin. I was being selfish, and I can say that as a man."

The 33-year-old artist admitted that his infidelity deeply fractured the marriage, though he emphasized that both sides made mistakes. "I made a lot of mistakes, and there's a lot of things I did wrong. She did things that were wrong too," he said.

The couple share three children — Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 13 months — and despite their split, Offset said the pair remains focused on co-parenting. "We got so much, our kids, to live for," he added.

Offset also expressed regret about how their relationship unfolded in the public eye, noting how social media magnified their private struggles. "I wish there wasn't so much internet stuff. You feel like you're getting bullied, and you want to defend yourself, but the narrative gets nasty," he said.

The rapper, who rose to fame alongside Quavo and Takeoff in Migos, now wants closure. "I'm ready for it to be over," he admitted. "It'd be louder for what we love to do — music and art. I just feel like it shouldn't be the story for both of us anymore."

Cardi B, 32, echoed similar sentiments in her recent interview with Jay Shetty, saying she "felt the love dying" long before the split. She's since moved on with NFL star Stefon Diggs, and the two are expecting their first child together.

For Offset, the chapter may be closing, but the lessons, he says, are permanent: "I had to grow up. I know now what respect really means."
