Patrick Mahomes is ready to turn the Kansas City Chiefs' facility into a Taylor Swift listening party.

Ahead of the release of Swift's 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl, the quarterback told 96.5 The Fan on Thursday, October 2, that the team was preparing to celebrate the big debut. "I haven't been able to hear the album yet, but I'm super-excited to be able to do that," Mahomes said. "And it'll be blaring all through the Chiefs facility tomorrow. We'll be supporting Taylor."

Mahomes, 30, added that Swift had "put in so much hard work" and that he was looking forward to hearing the record "just like everybody else." The pop star dropped the project at midnight on October 3, offering fans a glimpse into both her personal life and her engagement to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Several tracks contain references to Kelce, from their first encounter at an Eras Tour stop in Kansas City to the couple's present-day relationship. One song recalls the moment he tried to give her a friendship bracelet, while others nod to his New Heights podcast with brother Jason. Swift, 35, also weaves in football imagery that ties back to Kelce's career.

Some listeners believe another track, Cancelled!, indirectly acknowledges Swift's growing friendship with Brittany Mahomes. The two women bonded after Swift began dating Kelce in 2023 and have since been seen celebrating milestones together, including Brittany's 30th birthday in Nashville. When Swift announced her engagement earlier this year, Brittany wrote on Instagram, "Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love."

An insider previously told Us Weekly that the women share "a really genuine friendship and love hanging out at the games together and cheering on their men." The source added that they have a similar sense of humor and often "crack jokes and laugh" when together.

Swift described the record as deeply personal during an appearance on the New Heights podcast, saying it reflected her emotions while touring. "This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour," she explained, calling it a joyful and dramatic period.

With Mahomes promising it will be "blaring" through Chiefs headquarters, it seems Swift's new era will have the full support of Kansas City.
