Jon Bon Jovi has spoken publicly about his new role as a grandfather after his son, Jake Bongiovi, and daughter-in-law, Millie Bobby Brown, revealed they adopted their first child.

The rock legend appeared on Bunnie XO's Dumb Blonde podcast, where he reflected on the milestone. "Crazy, but great. Wonderful," the 63-year-old shared, describing the arrival of his granddaughter. "They adopted a girl and we met the baby, obviously, and immediately that becomes your grandchild. Your baby."

The Livin' on a Prayer singer admitted he has already settled into his role, saying, "It's beautiful, I want to see pictures like every day. I'm that pain in the butt guy already. It's cool."

Bongiovi, 23, and Brown, 21, confirmed the adoption on August 21 with a joint Instagram statement: "This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were three."

Bon Jovi also shared why he supported the couple's decision to marry young. "She's a sweetheart and she's a hard worker," he said of Brown. "I tell her all the time how much I admire her because her work ethic is unbelievable. They got married very young, but we blessed it because we get it. They are sort of mature beyond their years."

The pair first sparked romance rumors in June 2021 and secretly wed in May 2024 during an intimate ceremony with family, including Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea. Later that year, they hosted a larger celebration in Tuscany, Italy, where Stranger Things co-star Matthew Modine officiated.

As the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary on September 21, Brown shared a black-and-white photo from their wedding, writing, "1 year married 🤍 I love being your wife." Bongiovi also posted a heartfelt tribute: "One year in the books, many more to go. I love you so much my beautiful wife. Happy anniversary 💕."
