The 32-year-old artist, born Belcalis Almánzar, admitted she had reservations about reentering the dating world, explaining that dating again can feel like being a teenager. She described it as both exciting and unnerving, saying it makes you remember the lessons of young love and challenges you to be open and vulnerable again. Cardi recalled a moment with Diggs, 31, when he told her, "Let me heal you. Give me a chance to heal you." She said that reassurance encouraged her to open her heart. The two have been publicly linked since October 2024.
Cardi filed for divorce from Offset in August 2024, the same month she revealed she was pregnant with her third child. Their daughter, Blossom Belle, was born in September 2024. The former couple also shares daughter Kulture Kiari, 7, and son Wave Set, 4. Diggs is father to an 8-year-old daughter, Nova, born in 2016.
During the CBS interview, Cardi confirmed her fourth pregnancy, announcing the baby is due before her Little Miss Drama Tour begins in February. "I'm having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs," she told King, adding that she feels happy and empowered at this stage of her life. She described herself as being in a good space, balancing her demanding work with the joy of expecting a child.
Speaking about their relationship, Cardi said she and Diggs support one another and share similar drive and ambition. Both, she explained, are never fully satisfied and constantly push themselves to achieve more. "We're never comfortable," she said. "We just keep doing it, and that's what we are."
Cardi's upcoming album, Am I the Drama?, her second full-length project, will be released Friday, Sept. 19. She has already teased high-profile collaborations with Summer Walker, Selena Gomez, Kehlani, Lizzo, Cash Cobain, Tyla, Janet Jackson, and Megan Thee Stallion, further fueling anticipation for the record.
