Josh Duhamel values his heritage. The London Calling star, who was raised in North Dakota, wanted to give his children a chance to live away from the spotlight of Hollywood. He built a house in Minnesota almost 20 years ago. He has two children: a 12-year-old son named Axl with his ex-wife Fergie and a 20-month-old son named Shepherd with his wife Audra Mari.
He said during the September 15 premiere of London Calling, "You know, 16, 17 years ago, when I built this place, it was weirdly me almost reliving my youth, in a way." "It's wonderful for me to be able to teach my children about the woods where I grew up in North Dakota."
Josh added, "It's also nice to get them out in the woods and get dirty and learn a few things that I learned growing up," even though he acknowledged that Los Angeles is "fantastic."
Nice, too? celebrating the release of London Calling in theaters on September 19 by going out with Audra. Josh said of his three-year wife, "She looks so beautiful." She is incredible.
Furthermore, he believes that London Calling, which centers on hitman Tommy Ward (played by Josh), who is entrusted with "manning up" his employer's son Julian in return for safe passage across the pond so that he can reunite with his own son, promises a fun night out for all parents.
“This is just such a fun movie; it really is,” the Ransom Canyon star promised. “It's like a throwback to the 90s, action-comedy, buddy cop movies—although neither one of us is a cop or a buddy."
It's one of those corny movies about a hitman who's over the hill, can't see or shoot as well as he used to, shoots the wrong person, and has to leave London for Los Angeles. The guy he works for, in return for me returning to London, forces me to take his son out on a hit, and it goes horribly wrong, he continued.
However, one thing that hasn't gone horribly wrong is his choice to move to the lakes and hills of Minnesota instead of Los Angeles full-time.
He exclaimed to People in August from his home in Minnesota, "It's fun because we're deep in the woods out there." Bald eagles can be seen everywhere, and otters can be seen swimming with their young everywhere.
"I really love making movies and TV shows, but I had this calling to go and do things with my hands again," the Safe Haven star continued. Make things, fix things, and simply carry out the routine tasks that we take for granted.
